It is never a bad idea to replace your plumbing when remodeling your house, you will thank yourself in the future.

Below are the varying lifespans for plumbing pipes:

  • Brass: 40-45 Years
  • Cast Iron: 75-100 Years
  • Galvanized Steel: 20-50 Years
  • PVC Piping: 50-100+ Years

As for most things, there is a difference in the lifespan based on how frequent the use is, the maintenance and the quality.
